Who We Are

aaa logoAbia American Association Inc; is a nonprofit organization which was founded in 1991 and legally incorporated as section 501(c )3, under the Internal Revenue code in 1998. Abia America Association Inc; operates at Local, State, National and International settings and engage in programs and activities for the well being of members, their families and the general public.

Mission Statement

The mission of Abia American Association Inc; is to engage in educational, health, social and cultural activities that will promote the well being of members and the community in which it exists by:

  1. Promoting the health and well-being of its members and the community at large.
  2. Promoting the cultural, social, educational, and spiritual growth of its members, their families and the community at large.
  3. Promoting awareness and preventing some of the social problems, such as alcoholism, drug abuse, family violence, child abuse and neglect.
  4. Cooperating, participating and involving in a wide range of Abia State affairs, including the formation and comprehensive analysis of the state problems and solutions.

Activities

Abia American Association Inc; develops, and implement a variety of activities which meet a variety of needs and interest for the members, their families and the community.

Activities include         

  1. After school programs,
  2. Computer literacy classes
  3. Youth summer activities
  4. Preventive health care teachings
  5. Educational activities
  6. Cultural activities.                                     

Administration

Abia American Association Inc; is administered and headed by highly competent, qualified and knowledgeable individuals that provide adequate services in a caring environment. The hierarchy of administration consist of the Board, President, Secretary and Treasurer. The Board members meet periodically to oversee and evaluate the operation of the organization in order to ensure that the administration is complying to established by-laws, policies and procedures.
